Llansannor C.I.W. Primary School

Criw Cymraeg

Patrwm yr Wythnos

Every week, we ask pupils around the school to use a set phrase with the chance of winning a 'tocyn iaith'. Classes with the most tocynnau iaith will win a classroom prize: a 'Seren a Sbarc' doll in Foundation Phase and a 'Dewi'r Draig' in KS2.

Shw'mae Ffrindiau! Criw Cymraeg Llansannor ydyn ni.

Our job is to encourage everyone in the school community, from pupils to staff, parents and governors to speak and use more Welsh in school and elsewhere.

We'll be planning lots of activities like 'Patrwm yr Wythnos' (see videos below), the legendary school Eisteddfod, Dydd Gwyl Dewi, and other cultural celebrations throughout the year.

We'll also be making sure our school has a much more 'Welsh' feel around the place with better bilingual signage and rewards for pupils who use Welsh.
