Welcome to Year 4 - Croeso i Flwyddyn 4!
We hope you have had a fantastic summer together with your families and we're excited to get stuck into our first topic, ‘Water of Life’ with you. We can't wait to have lots of fun and take part in lots of new learning experiences with you.
This term we will be exploring our world and the creations within it. During the topic will be focusing on caring for our sea and ocean environments, exploring the different habitats and animals that live there. Our class book is 'Song of the Dolphin Boy' by Elizabeth Laird.
In maths we will be building on place value, area and perimeter, adddition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
We will be focusing on embedding the Curriculum for Wales 4 purposes in our topic by being ambitious, capable learners, enterprising, creative contributors, ethical, informed citizens and healthy, confident individuals.
Please see below for our topic overview.

We will be reading with every child during the week, please make sure that they have their reading book in school each day. We encourage you to listen to your child read at home as often as possible.
